The sweet Nele came all the way from Belgium with her sister to be at the show in Eindhoven. What a pleasure. It's such a nice thing to have people show up specifically to see/hear me play. It's quite an honour. I've played too many empty rooms [still happens..;)] that you really learn to appreciate an audience.
Sometimes a small audience is good, better than a large one.. it all depends on the atmosphere, the energy. I guess you could play a song to 3 people [scary.. ! ] and have a phenomenal audience or play to 300 [much less scary somehow..] and not feel like you really connect.
