As good as it gets

I have [finally...! my excuses] put up a new song.
This one is from my second album "NU", it was inspired by a wonderful trip I made years ago with a good friend. We biked from Amsterdam to Texel [an island of the Dutch shore, all the way up north]
After it was written -now- i feel like it still holds meaning. You can apply the words to many situations i think.
Feel free to download it for free or for whatever you'd like to contribute.

My entry for Illustration Friday this week. I love the subject "open" , it can be interpretated in sooo many ways.

Holland

My trip to Holland was fantastic. The recordings for the new album have started and I have a very good feeling about it. There'll be 12 songs on the record, except for "Ca y est" all new songs, mostly songs i've been playing live in the last year, but haven't yet been recorded. The sound will be acoustic, organic. There's no computer involved, which is something i've never done yet.
The planning is that a single will come out in Holland in January and then the whole record in March. Unfortunaltely i don't know yet if the cd will be available in the States or other European countries. .. I'll keep you posted!

What a great challenge from IMT to just use 2 or 3 colors.
I used 2 blue's and white for this one. Even though I'm tempted to say i only used 1 blue, because the second blue is used really sparsly in the ocean.

The Road

This image is inspired by the books of Paulo Coelho.
Not one book in particular, just the feeling of the road,
adventure, discovery, travel, loneliness, bliss, all kinds of
themes that i see in it and that i feel run through most of his books.

Intimate Night in Kentucky

We had a wonderful night last night at "Bread and Bagel". Intimate and cozy, Todd and i each played a set and Jordan Pendley opened up with a few songs.
